Description

Join Jessica Barkdull, NP, Parkview Heart Institute, Cardiovascular Health and Wellness Clinic as she discusses how heart disease differs between men and women. Did you know that 90% of women have at least one risk factor for heart disease and that 80%  of heart disease if preventable? The first step toward heart health is becoming aware of your own personal risk for heart disease. Some risks, such as smoking cigarettes, are obvious. But other risk factors, such as high blood pressure or high blood cholesterol, generally don't have obvious signs or symptoms and others are simply not discussed as much as they should be such as, pregnancy related problems and emotional well-being. This will be an excellent opportunity to gather some information to create your personal "heart profile."
